Producers and vendors within the area of the Nature and Geopark TERRA.vita

For centuries, valuable products have been produced and marketed within our cultural landscape. By comparison, in a relatively short period of time, globalization and industrialization have strongly changed the traditional production methods and consumer behaviors – not always and not everywhere to the benefit of man, animals, and the environment.

In accordance with the tasks and aims of a Nature and Geopark, we want to preserve and protect our historical land use forms and our nature and to promote regional economic cycles. The production and marketing of regional products have our full backing, and so we are happy to actively support producers, direct marketers, retailers, and consumers as well as initiatives that adhere to the philosophy “from the region for the region.”

Hence, TERRA.vita maintains an extensive exchange with a wide range of regional players from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) to producers and tourism experts to SlowFood groups. The Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences is also an important cooperation partner in this network – three students of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Landscape Architecture researched a list of producers and direct marketers within the area of the TERRA.vita park.

This list is provided here as a guide for regional and seasonal shopping, wherein we consider a 10-km (~6 miles) corridor outside the actual “boundaries” of the park to be acceptable.
